Overview


The Department started functioning from the beginning of the College. That is 2011. It is one of the Departments of the College which is enthusiastic in participating in all the career and non career programmes of the College. Presently Mr. Azeez and Ms.Safiya M are working as Department faculties.

Department at a Glance


Department of Arabic started along with the beginning of the college .It is one of the Departments of college which is enthusiastic participating all the career and non-career programs of the College. Common course of Arabic Literature was provided those days. From 2011 onwards LRP course started. Total 4 hours per week for 1st year BA/BSc course and 5 hours for second year BA/BSc and 5 hours for B.Com co-operation and Computer Application and 5 hours for other pattern courses. B Com cooperation and computer application were supposed to follow same texts and therefore, the classes were combined. In the year 2010 the semester system was introduced. Around 2000 Arabic books are available in our college library which is used by the students for their academic matters. Seminars and assignments were introduced in their syllabus for improving their language skills. National and International seminars were conducted for familiarizing the different areas of literature and authors.

Message From HOD


Department of Arabic of MIC Arts and Science College is one of the important departments in the college. Being a foreign language, the department faculty members carefully work for creating awareness and to motivate the students to stand out in international job markets. Learning Arabic gives many job opportunities in translation, documentation, typewriting and so on. The department enthusiastically work on making students eligible for the same. The kind of dedication teachers and students have for each other is the driving force behind the success of any institution and it is same for Department of Arabic

Mission


“To impart knowledge in the foreign language Arabic this is widely spread among the local people due to gulf migration and also due to the Madrassa system. A huge number of the people who are working in the Middle East are commonly using this language for communication”.

Vision


“To give proper training to the students who registered under this department. This department is giving continuous training in this area and imparting free services to the public admitting their queries day by day as job seekers to the gulf countries”.
